Oaxacan Culture and Traditions

In Hotel Las Mariposas we enjoy keeping local traditions alive, celebrating the annual Day of the Dead by making an altar in November, a Christmas Nativity scene in December, and an Easter altar during Semana Santa.

We also conserve traditions such as the Day of the Samaritan when natural flavoured water is offered to all guests and their friends. Also, during the month-long Mexican National Fiesta in September, the hotel is decorated in green, white and red, the national colors of Mexico.
